Greece x Reader - Holiday - Prologue

Blue. White. Clear. Pristine. Pure. Perfection.

These were the words that ran through your mind, as you observed the beautiful scene outside your hotel room window. Greece looked like it was still untouched – like it was straight out of a book. There was not a single soul in sight, as you continued to gaze at the scenery. It was everything you had imagined it to be, and you hoped that this trip to Greece would help both you and-

"[Name], stop taking so much of time over everything! We need to hurry!"
Turning around and facing Jim, you smiled, slightly. "Jim...we're on holiday now - learn to relax!"
Your boyfriend sighed. "Relaxing isn't the same as being obnoxiously slow."
Punching his arm playfully, you laughed, in an effort to cheer him up. It'd been horrible for him – losing his parents, losing out on huge job opportunities – you knew that Jim was going through a hard time, and you tried your best to cheer him up. When he got caught in a pub brawl, you knew that things had crossed the line, and on impulse, bought one-way tickets to your dream destination – Greece. Yes, he did make a fuss at first, but even Jim couldn't say no to the idea of a holiday in Greece for an indefinite amount of time.

"Let's go to the beach, then, shall we?" Jim spoke, after a while. You nodded.
"As long as we swim."
"Won't the water be cold?"
"We're in Greece, Jim!" You couldn't help but laugh, and the slight smile on his face was welcome, too.
"I guess it wouldn't hurt."
