Germany x Reader - Ten Steps - Part 8

Strange weather caused strange behaviour, [Name] concluded, as she put her mobile phone down. Last week, it was freezing, and this week it was sunny. Last week, she'd had a nice outing with Ludwig, and this week, he'd explicitly asked to meet her at a FRENCH café? He'd also been acting rather...well, strange on the phone. His words sounded rehearsed and strained for some reason, and [Name] couldn't help but wonder what was with him...
He wasn't exactly the type of person she knew to be hanging around cafés, and neither did he ever talk so much to [Name] on the phone. In fact...

Yes, [Name] had heard these exact words before, but from Feliciano. That was the first rime she'd met the Italian, and [Name] could only deduce that these words were actually Feli's.
She couldn't help but laugh, slightly. Why was Ludwig using Feliciano's words? She had to ask him, when she met him...which reminded her to go and find something to wear for tonight.

"What on earth...?" [Name] couldn't help but exclaim, as she saw the "café" in front of her. It was only café by name - in reality, it resembled a five-star restaurant more! Someone would have to be either filthy rich or stupid to invite someone for dinner here! [Name] had a feeling that there would be some sort of entrance fee to even enter the place, nonetheless, with a determined look on her face, and a strong step, she entered. The doorman opened the door with a flourish, and he smiled at him briefly. Inside, the décor was tasteful, she couldn't complain, as a waiter came up to her, and asked her for her name.
"I was...invited by a Mr. Beilschmidt," she replied, and the waiter smiled back candidly.
"Ah, Monsieur Beilschmidt? Suivez-moi, s'il vous plaît." [Name] was about to comment that her French wasn't exactly very good, but she figured that as long as she understood the waiter, things would be all right.

All current preoccupations exited her mind, as soon as she saw Ludwig sitting at one of the tables meant for two. She'd never actually seen him in a formal three-piece before - he probably didn't wear them too often (judging by his discomfort in them, too), but it was a sight for sore eyes, nonetheless. He really did look so handsome in it...
Which brought back the girl's mind to the strange situation she found herself in.
"Ludwig...?" It wasn't really a question - more of a permission to take a seat. Said person looked up, slightly startled, and mumbled something which sounded like "please take a seat." [Name] smiled, as she took a seat.

"Now, tell me, Ludwig...how much of this was Feliciano's idea?" she leant forward, a small smile plating on her face.
"F-Feliciano's idea?" Ludwig was at a loss for words.
"Come on, now. A fancy French restaurant isn't your first choice, I'd imagine," she smiled.
"No…" Ludwig was more than unsure of how to present the whole situation to [Name]. The notion of 'romance' was still unclear to Ludwig, and yet here he was, trying to fulfil Step Eight on his list – "Be romantic." What a shame. Ludwig decided to go along with the first thing that he could think up of.
"Well...Feliciano had planned this all...but –"
"He never managed to show up, right?" [Name] replied. "Well...that's a shame, but this is...I'll have to admit, a pretty nice place. It would've been...kind of romantic, even."
Wait...so did this count as 'romantic'? Ludwig wasn't sure.

Step 8 - Be romantic - ...complete?
